Nuccio’s project started 12 years ago, and it’s far from finished. For the last two years, the motorhome was with Finishline Racing in Arizona where work was performed at a steady pace. Powertrain development and chassis build. Now it is at Truline Rv in Spokane Washington for paint and an interior. And while the retro graphics look cool, Nuccio has plans to paint it fire-engine red. Once complete, Nuccio is planning a massive road trip across Canada and the U.S. before possibly shipping it overseas. But a lot of work still needs done, and Truline Rv is going to finish it..
Build InquiriesVehicle Body:
1976 GMC
Drive Train:
Full frame 6 wheel drive custom built chassis. Making it move is a built 582-cubic-inch Chevrolet Big Block V8, which sends power to the ground through an upgraded 4L80 transmission. On a recent dyno run, the setup put down nearly 800 pound-feet of torque. It also sounds amazing through a pair of enormous side exhaust pipes.
Extras:
There are two on-board arc welders for on-the-go repairs, two 25,000-pound (11,339-kilogram) winches at the front and rear with another 2,500-lb (1,133-kg) winch that lowers the 500-lb (226-kg) spare tire. 2 Honda generators will be added to run in parallel to run up to 11,000kw of continuous AC power when off grid. 4 Relion lithium 300ah batteries for 1200ah stand by DC power for DC systems and to run 2 massive inverters! This will soon feature a completely new interior keeping closely to the original foot print of the coach while adding all the extra amenities of a luxury coach.
Made to feel like an old cockpit.
This build is reimagined from the ground up.
